Texas PSR Submits Comments on Extreme Heat January 29, 2025
Texas PSR submitted comments in support of the proposed rule “Heat Injury and Illness Prevention in Outdoor and Indoor Work Settings” signed by 52 Texas health professionals and students who care deeply about protecting the health and safety of workers across our state. Extreme heat conditions, driven by climate change, are putting more workers at risk than ever before. By advocating for this rule, we have not only stood up for worker safety but also taken a vital step in addressing the broader impacts of climate change on our communities. Fighting for these protections is part of the larger fight to reduce the harm caused by rising temperatures and ensure a healthier, safer future for all Texans.
