Texas PSR Highlighted in the Travis County Medical Society Journal August 13, 2017

The July-August issue of the Travis County Medical Society Journal features an article about Texas PSR’s Toxic-Free Child program:

Is it OK to put plastic containers in the microwave? What are some ways to minimize exposure to pesticides in the home? Is nail polish safe for young children?

These are just some of the many questions that Toxic-Free Child seeks to address in a novel, evidence-based curriculum created and presented in Central Texas over the last year.

Written by Texas PSR Board Vice President Lisa Doggett, MD, MPH, FAAFP; Trish O’Day, MSN, RN, CNS-Community Health; and former Executive Director Yaira Robinson, the article explores how the Toxic-Free Child program addresses a community need by offering simple solutions and empowering parents to make positive choices to safeguard their families’ health.
