New Environmental Health Course Offered at UT Dell Medical School in Spring 2020 August 2, 2019

Through a grant from the Cynthia and George Mitchell Foundation, Texas PSR will develop, implement and evaluate a course curriculum in environmental health, a field that is attracting increasing attention in medical schools around the country.

The course, titled “Environmental Threats to Public Health – What Every Physician Should Know”, will be offered at UT Dell Medical School in the spring 2020 semester, and will cover topics ranging from the health effects of climate change, air and water quality to applications to clinical practice (including what to include in an environmental and occupational health screening history) and how to be an informed and effective advocate.

Texas PSR is deeply grateful to the Cynthia and George Mitchell Foundation for funding this initiative, one that over time we expect to expand to medical schools throughout Texas.
