Latest “State of the Air” report shows nearly half of Americans are exposed to unhealthy air


The American Lung Association released its 2019 “State of the Air” report on April 24, 2019.  The key finding is that 43 percent of Americans live in counties with at least one failing “F” rating for air quality, an increase of 7 million Americans compared to the last year’s report–further evidence that human-caused climate change is endangering human health around the globe.  Read news coverage here, and visit the ALA’s webpage summarizing the findings here.  A link to the full report is here.
