Praying for Rain: Corpus Christi’s Water Crisis and Implications for Municipal Water Planning

Corpus Christi has struggled with moving forward on new water supplies. In this presentation, Robert E. Mace, PhD, PG will discuss the much more complicated backstory of water in Corpus Christi, how it got into its situation, why it’s been hard for the city (until recently) to move forward on new water supplies, what the health consequences could mean if the lakes go dry, and how water planning could be tweaked to build greater robustness in municipal water supplies for the future.
