Join Texas PSR’s Dr. Brett Perkison as he moderates a discussion following the screening of “Cesar’s Last Fast”. Hosted by UT Health Houston School of Public Health and ACTion Lab, this Sundance feature documentary explores the personal sacrifice and spiritual conviction behind César Chavez’s fight for the humane treatment of farmworkers. The film provides a powerful perspective on Mexican American and American history, civil rights, nonviolent protest tactics, labor struggles, and faith-based activism.

The discussion following the film will focus on occupational health, immigrant health and the broader conversation surrounding immigration today.
